n/a 8/25/2017 7-9:30 pm, UT Pedestrian Walkway Student Engagement Fair Browse over 150 student organizations, campus departments, and community partners at the Student Engagement Fair each year!
8/22/2017 8/31/2017 10am-4pm, 2nd Floor Commons Discovery Day Discovery Day highlights undergraduate student research and creative activity undertaken in the spring or summer months.  It’s a time to view what students are researching and learn about research opportunities available for the new academic year.
10/15/2017, Travel Grant; 10/20/2017, Abstract 11/2/2017 Austin Peay State University TN Experiential Learning Symposium Open to undergraduates from all disciplines who have been engaged in learning through undergraduate research, service learning, experiential learning, or study abroad experiences to present their project through an oral or poster presentation.
10/7/2017 n/a online International Research Opportunities Travel Grant The program is especially designed for students who are interested in discovering their potential for a research career. EuroScholars offers unique opportunities to spend a semester as a student researcher at one of the top European research institutions. Each semester a central European Midstay Program (2-3 days) is organized for all students.
11/1/2017 04/17/2018- 04/18/2018 Washington, DC Posters on the Hill This competitive event gives 60 undergraduate students from across the US the opportunity to showcase their research to congressional members, meet with their representatives, and learn about advocacy for undergraduate research.
11/7/2017 2/20/2018 Nashville, TN Posters at the Capitol Every February, undergraduate researchers from across the State of Tennessee convene at the State Capitol to share their projects with state legislators.
12/1 annual deadline n/a online Pursuit journal publication Pursuit accepts advanced, original, research-based submissions from undergraduate students in all academic disciplines. Graduates may submit their work within one year of their graduation date.

4/3/2018- 4/7/2018 University of Central Oklahoma National Conference of Undergraduate Research This is the largest annual gathering of undergraduate research students presenting their research and creative activities. UT will be offering travel scholarships for this event. Students with accepted abstracts will receive preference for scholarships.
4/20/2018 n/a online Spring Research Assistants Program This program is designed to support both faculty and student engagement and collaboration while pursuing original research and exposing the student to the research process. Faculty will receive $2,000 to pay the student researcher and a $250 stipend for materials.
1/30/2018 n/a online Undergraduate Researcher of the Year This award, given at the Chancellors Honors Banquet, honors a student who has shown success and excellence in undergraduate research. The recipient of this award will be a junior or senior student judged to have best demonstrated excellence in undergraduate research through independent inquiry, through classes, and student employment during his/her undergraduate career
2/12/2018 n/a online Summer Internship Funds The UT Knoxville Office of Undergraduate Research funds a summer internship program to promote research and creative activity among undergraduate students.  Internships of up to $1,900 each will be awarded to support students who will work on a research or creative project with a UT Knoxville faculty mentor in the summer of the application year.  Students graduating in May or August of the application year are not eligible.
3/7/2018 4/13/2018 Hodges Library, 8am-4pm Undergraduate Research Symposium The Undergraduate Research Students’ Association (URSA) will be hosting the Symposium, which provides a space for students to present their research to a general audience.
3/11/2018 4/16/2018- 4/20/2018 Hodges Library EUReCA The Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURēCA) is an annual event that showcases research and creative activities by currently enrolled undergraduate students in collaboration with a University of Tennessee, Knoxville faculty mentor.
