Tree crickets build megaphones by chewing holes in leaves, a behaviour known as “baffling”. I am interested in studying the evolution of this behaviour by taking a phylogenetic approach. Using citizen science, I am collecting data on the variation in baffling across all North American tree cricket species. Join my iNaturalist project to contribute and learn more about it!
