EEB

MINOR / CERTIFICATE

Undergraduate students can minor in EEB and starting in Fall 2025, students will be able to earn an Animal Behavior Certificate through EEB. It consists of nine hours from selected courses. Learn more about both our EEB Minor and our Animal Behavior Certificate below.

Minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

Requirements


The minor consists of approximately five courses (a minimum of 16 credit hours) beyond the prerequisite course. Of these five, up to two courses may also be used toward meeting curricular requirements for the student’s major or another minor requirement concurrently. Students cannot obtain an EEB minor if they already have a concentration in EEB.


Prerequisite:
Biology 150 – Organismal and Ecological Biology (3 credits)


Minor:
3 credits Foundational Knowledge
EEB 205 – Theories and Methods of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (3 credits)

3 credits Quantitative Skills

Choose one:

Animal Behavior Certificate

Requirements:
The Certificate in Animal Behavior consists of 9 hours selected from the courses listed below. At least 3 of the credit hours used to satisfy the requirements of this certificate must be unique with respect to their minor, major, or another certificate program.
